Truecaller Launches a New Identity Solution (Anti-Fraud Solution) for Businesses
Truecaller has launched a new identity solution for businesses and it’s meant to help improve security and reduce fraud.
The company said in a statement that the new Truecaller Business Identity solution allows businesses to verify their identities using a green checked business badge that accurately displays the organization’s name, picture, and logo.
The new solution increases trust and productivity in contact between businesses and clients by assuring customers that the caller is a Truecaller-verified company.
It also allows businesses to improve call pick-up rates for genuine and important calls while increasing communication efficiency.
A checked business on Truecaller gets a verified tick mark icon and can lock their brand name and profile picture in addition to the green Caller ID and green Verified Business badge.
This enables customers to know the calls to trust and to see the number of spam markings, as well as to label checked numbers as spam or to block them entirely.
According to Zakaria Hersi the Director of Business Development in Africa, fraud continues to be a major issue across Africa and Truecaller wanted to provide solutions on a business level as well as a personal level.
“Truecaller is ready to scale the offering to a significant number of businesses globally ensuring that the ever-growing community of users can trust more calls coming from these businesses making communication safer for everyone,” added Vice President and Head of Truecaller Enterprise Sony Joy.
Truecaller’s spam algorithms will however remain unchanged. Importantly, Truecaller’s global community of over 270 million active users will be able to flag calls that are potentially spam, fraud, or sales calls, even though they have a checked badge and Caller ID.
