Huawei’s IdeaHub Smart Office for SMEs, Medium-scale offices and Health Institutions

Huawei Kenya has launched a productivity tool that combines intelligent writing, High Definition video conferencing, and wireless sharing for smart offices and educational institutions.

The IdeaHub series is designed to seamlessly transform conference rooms, executive offices, and open areas into smart environments in any scenario. The board is aimed at Kenyan medium-sized offices, SMEs, educational, and health institutions.

Huawei stated that with a 4K resolution display and support for both Windows and Android OS, the ‘IdeaHub Board’ emphasizes its high efficiency and low latency.

“This is to enhance the capabilities of business and education sectors, in line with HUAWEI’s mission to push forward digital transformation in Kenya through intelligent innovations.” Will Meng, Huawei Kenya’s CEO.

In emphasizing on the need for digital transformation, Meng highlighted how the pandemic and the IdeaHub have affected Huawei around the world.

“We employ over 200,000 employees in more than 1,000 offices across 170 countries and regions, but like most companies, the pandemic also affected us. On our first day of transition, more than half of our employees worked from home.”

“Slowly we discovered that this shift from our traditional working mode to embracing the digital shift helped free our employees from time and energy wasted in meeting rooms, as well as business trips to different countries, research centers, and representative offices. While the traffic of virtual office services increased six fold, our expenses reduced by 28%.”

He noted that the world of work and collaboration is evolving, and that consumers are expecting new collaboration tools while working remotely in order to preserve productivity.

“The Huawei IdeaHub series is designed to help people work and learn anytime, anywhere, without time and space constraints, productively and efficiently. It intelligently helps you to transform, upgrade and digitize the office or classroom.” Meng.

Huawei IdeaHub Unique Features

The Huawei IdeaHub Board has some unique features that improve the user experience.

The Cast+-based dropdown bar projection function allows users to project content from their phone to a wide screen without having to install any additional apps.

Users do not need to be concerned about their safety because the privacy protection feature ensures that no personal information is shared during the projection.

Other projection methods for different contexts and demands are also available on the Huawei IdeaHub Board. A wireless projection code, IdeaShare Key, and DLNA are among them.

HUAWEI IdeaHub Board uses zero-gap bonding technology and advanced software features to give a seamless writing experience with an ultra-low writing latency of 35ms, making writing on the Board as simple as writing on paper.

Meanwhile, compared to traditional whiteboards, the intelligent text and graphic recognition and email sharing functions provide a more efficient experience.

With the pandemic, video conferencing has become the standard, and IdeaHub is perfectly adapted for it, with the ability to install any video conferencing app and several microphones that automatically zoom in and track the speaker.
